DIY Diclegis for Morning Sickness

Updated: Jan 29, 2022

If you know me personally, no, I am not pregnant. I’ve just been sharing this remedy with a lot of people lately and thought I’d make the information available to the public.

I’m going to keep this short and simple. You are here because you need a morning sickness remedy that works and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

When I was pregnant with my son, I was where you are now. I was unable to keep down anything I ate. I was nauseated constantly. They called it morning sickness even though it lasted all day and night. I thought it would end by 15 weeks but it didn’t! I was desperate. My baby and I needed nutrition and I couldn’t provide it. I looked at list after list of tips and tricks but nothing worked. Finally, I stumbled upon a drug called Diclegis.

Diclegis is great for morning sickness but it is expensive and insurance companies often won’t cover it. Here is how to make it yourself at very little cost.

*As always, consult your doctor or midwife before using this or any medication or natural remedy.*

DIY Diclegis for Morning Sickness Ingredients:

Regular Unisom 25mg tabs (not extra strength and not capsules)

Instructions:

Take half of a 25mg Unisom tab before bed as well as one 25mg vitamin B6. If the nausea persists, two more doses of B6 can be added per 24 hour period.

DO NOT EXEED 100mg of B6 per day.

*As always, consult your doctor or midwife before using this or any medication or natural remedy.*

I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice. This is what I did. It was effective at stopping the vomiting and improving the nausea. I took half a unisom in the morning, as well, on the worst days. I was very tired but still functional. I thank God that I stumbled upon this remedy because my “morning sickness” lasted 36 out of 41 weeks. Also, Jolly Ranchers helped when riding in the car.

Feel better, Mama. It will all be worth it when you see that sweet face.
